Monday 6th July saw the PE Department at Arthur Terry host the third of its' annual Sports Awards events. The event, which took place in the main hall gives us an opportunity to recognise and reward those students who have made an outstanding contribution in Physical Education throughout the year, be it practically or at GCSE/A-Level.
The event has been met with extremely positive comments from both students and parents and continues to move from strength to strength each year. Headteacher Mr Gill was in attendance to present the awards alongside various members of the Physical Education department speaking about each students prior to collecting their awards.
Below you can see a selection of our award winners, along with a list summarising all of our winners on the evening.
Sportsman of the Year - Year 7 - Oliver Clayton - winner of the award for outstanding performance across the curriculum and success in a range of extra-curricular activities. |
Our awards also allow us to recognise the achievements of our students in theoretical aspects of Physical Education. There are awards for our GCSE and A-level students which recognise high levels of progress or excellence in these areas. Again, a sample of our award winners is shown below.
Below is a summary of all our Award winners. I would like to congratulate each and every student on their awards and we were delighted that so many of you could join us to celebrate. WELL DONE!
